Hi there,

I'm Dena Shearer, a food photographer in Dublin, Ireland. I travel around Ireland and beyond to work with my clients. I have been taking photographs for nearly 20 years. Photography is my passion, my whole life revolves around it!

In 2008, I graduated with a Bachelor in Fine Arts (Majoring in Photography) at Rhodes University in South Africa. I then moved to Ireland where I ended up spending 3 years working managerial roles in the food and hospitality sector.

I left to travel to Australia and New Zealand and worked as a photographer on Daydream Island in the Whitsundays. (What a job!) When I came back to Ireland I started an extremely fulfilling job managing a successful artisan café for 8 years, all the while working on my own photography business.

I am still running a successful portrait and wedding photography business but after working for two years as an in-house food photographer and social media manager, I developed my love for food and lifestyle photography and wanted to create a new business to work at this...


I founded Luvly Content; a food and lifestyle photography business that specialises in shooting high-end imagery for brands print, website and social assets. 

My areas of expertise include food, lifestyle and portraiture.

I work closely with business owners to understand their brand values and create the best look and feel that suits their business.

Food and Drink

I am a Dublin based food photographer and travel all over the country to work. I have shot for luxury hotels, bistro bars, restaurants, large and small food brands. My food photography is used for brands marketing, advertising and PR campaigns and well as website and social media imagery.

I usually work with my assistant stylist Rosa so we take care of the food styling aspect for you too!
